INFORMATION
The SR-20RIV Type E is the latest evolution of Star’s popular SR-20RIV series. Building on the success of the Type A and Type B variants, the specification of the new Type E model has evolved to suit the requirements of a wider range of industries.
A key feature of the Type E is the programmable B-axis tool post, which offers simultaneous 4-axis control. This allows for more complex machining tasks, giving users greater production flexibility.
The machine also features Star’s proprietary cross guide structure on the gang-type tool post. This design improves rigidity by reducing load on the guide rails during cutting, supporting long-term accuracy and stable performance in demanding production environments.
Flexibility is further enhanced with the ability to switch between guide bush and non-guide bush modes depending on part length. Offering up to 41 tools on a 27-position station, the SR-20RIV Type E is designed for efficient, high-precision multi-process machining.
